Braided Bun Updo

Here are 5 pics to show how to do this hairstyle. You will need plenty of good bobby pins.
1. Twist sides and secure with elastic in the back.
2. Section off 3-5 parts, braid them individually.
3. Wrap them one by one just like a granny bun at the tape of the neck and secure tight with bobby pins.
I hope this helps a little better in description.

Upside down braid and bun!

Have your daughter rest her head on your lap, forhead on your knees, this doesn't take ,but a minute so she shouldn't get to mad, lol. French braid only halfway up the back of her head, then secure with clear elastic( these are great) gather pony tail with all remaining hair and create a bun using a snap watch or sock that you I am sure have seen make buns with b4, where the end is cut out. Bobby pin in place for extra hold, add flowers if you like.

Side Fishtail Braid

Ok Amy this is my second attempt writing all of this again...grrr!!! Braiding a fishtail is simple, but hard to explain. This is easiest when starting from a ponytail. Section into two parts, one in each hand. Take a small section from the outer part of the left strand, cross it over to the section in the right hand,, so you still only have to parts total. Take from the right, outer section and cross it to the left side. This will make and X shape. Once again you are only holding two parts. You will Repeat these steps until finished.

With a little twist!

Twist both sides, secure with elastic band, halfway pull through pony tail on last tightening of elastic. This part becomes a messy bun, pin down sides of bun. Extra hair not pulled through elastic will be on top to cover the bun, curl or scrunch.
